LUCKNOW, June 6 -- Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) on Friday launched "MyDidi", a women-only electric shuttle bike service aimed at providing safe and sustainable last-mile connectivity for metro commuters in Lucknow. The service was inaugurated by UPMRC managing director Sushil Kumar at Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station. Based on a "By Women, For Women" model, women riders will operate EV scooters exclusively for women passengers, promoting both safe mobility and employment opportunities. The women-only EV shuttle will operate within 5 km of four metro stations at Rs.15 per ride, with free rides till June 13.
