LUCKNOW, May 1 -- An FIR was registered against eight individuals, including five students of Lucknow University, following allegations of misconduct with the vice-chancellor on Tuesday evening, officials said on Thursday. The FIR was lodged at Hasanganj police station under BNS sections 191(2), 126(2) and 132 on Wednesday, based on a complaint filed by the university proctor. A group of students allegedly stopped the VC's car around 5 pm, blocked his way and attempted to damage the vehicle, said Hasanganj SHO Chitawan Kumar. Five current students - Prem Prakash Yadav, Prasanna Shukla, Shashi Prakash, Harshit Shukla and Rupendra Bahadur Singh - have been named in the FIR.
