LUCKNOW, July 12 -- With focus on various aspects to improve student connect and teach freshers about campus discipline, ensure their safety and holistic development, Lucknow University will hold an over month-long online orientation programme in the upcoming academic session from July 27 to August 29. The sessions will begin through an official greeting by vice-chancellor Prof JP Saini on the first day (July 27) followed by a deep dive into the university's rich legacy and history to be highlighted by registrar Dr Bhavana Mishra and Prof N K Pandey the next day. From the third day onwards, the university's induction programme will transition into a structured, faculty-wise breakdown designed to give students a clear academic roadmap. Throughout late July and early August, deans of various faculties will address freshers. In the second half of the programme, the university administration plans to provide students with insights into campus discipline, safety, and welfare. On August 10, chief proctor Prof Rakesh Dwivedi will brief students on essential campus discipline and anti-ragging rules to ensure a safe learning environment. Dean of Students' Welfare (DSW) Prof Amita Kanaujia will guide students through crucial grievance redressal mechanisms while Prof Monisha Banerjee will brief them about securing UP government and institutional scholarships on August 11 and 12....
