LUCKNOW, Feb. 10 -- The executive council of Lucknow University has approved the constitution of two new gold medals at a meeting held on Thursday. The prof SJH Abdi Gold Medal will be awarded every year to the student securing the highest marks in MA English at Canning College, Lucknow University. In case of a tie, the medal will go to the student with the highest marks in the final semester examination. The medal has been instituted by Nishat Akhtar Abdi. The Shri Chandramani Singh Gold Medal will be awarded annually to the topper of the MSc (Astrology) examination. It has been instituted by Deepak Singh in memory of his late father.
