Lko sizzles as temp crosses 40degC mark for the first time this June
Lucknow, June 8 -- The state capital experienced its first scorching day of the month on Sunday, with temperatures breaching the 40-degree Celsius mark for the first time this June.
According to the latest IMD bulletin, the maximum temperature was recorded at 40.4 degrees Celsius.
The city had seen milder weather throughout the first week of June, with the mercury remaining well below the 40-degree threshold.
For instance, on June 1, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the mini- mum temperature was reported at 28.1 degrees Celsius, which is 1.5 degrees above normal.
Looking ahead, the weather forecast for the state capital on Monday predicts a clear sky, with maximum and minimum temperatures expected to hover around 42 degrees and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Dry weather conditions are expected to prevail across the state.
Elsewhere in UP, Banda and Jhansi emerged as the hottest cities, recording a searing 43.2 degrees Celsius.
Prayagraj followed closely as the second-hottest location in the state, with a maximum temperature of 42.8 degrees Celsius....
