List of recognised schools goes public
India, April 3 -- PRAYAGRAJ The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) has uploaded a comprehensive list of all recognised secondary schools on its official website (https://upmsp.edu.in/) for the first time. Officials said the move is aimed at enhancing transparency and curbing academic malpractice.

Officials said such proxy arrangements have been a key concern.
Education experts welcomed the move, saying public access to the data would help parents make informed choices and deter dubious institutions. They added that regular updates and strict district-level enforcement would be crucial for its long-term impact.
Earlier, secondary education director Mahendra Dev and UP Board secretary Bhagwati Singh had directed district inspectors of schools to take action against unauthorised institutions. However, enforcement remained weak in several districts.
With the list now public, parents can verify schools' recognition status. Officials asserted that the initiative is expected to expose fraudulent institutions and improve transparency in the system....
