Lucknow, Aug. 28 -- Fateh Chand Charitable Trust, Muzaffarnagar, was provided a letter of intent for the establishment of the proposed Vedanta University, Muzaffarnagar, on Wednesday. UP higher education minister Yogendra Upadhyay expressed hope that the proposed Vedanta University will establish a new dimension of education in Muzaffarnagar and western Uttar Pradesh and will provide better employment and research opportunities to the youth here. He said that the operation of this university will bring improvement in the education scene in the state and Muzaffarnagar and the surrounding districts will not have to go to big cities for higher education. With this letter of intent issued under the Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019, it will be the responsibility of the sponsoring institution to fulfil conditions prescribed for the establishment of the university.
