LUCKNOW, Oct. 13 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) allotted 800 developed plots to 534 farmers under the IT City scheme through a lottery on Monday, as part of its land pooling policy to compensate landowners contributing land for the residential project,stated an LDA press release. The fourth-phase draw took place at the Mars Hall of Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar said the authority ensured transparency by allowing farmers to draw the lottery slips themselves.
