Lucknow, Oct. 11 -- A total of 1,423 degrees will be awarded to undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students at the 10th convocation ceremony of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University here on October 14, vice chancellor Prof. Ajay Taneja said at a press briefing on Friday. Filmmaker Muzzafar Ali will be the chief guest on the occasion. As many as 348 female and 699 male students will receive their undergraduate degrees; and 153 female and 192 male students will receive their postgraduate degrees, he added. "Two new medals-Ram Pari Devi Gold Medal and Shri Dorilal Sagar Memorial Gold Medal- have been constituted this year and will be conferred on the toppers of history and sociology departments. As many as 127 students will be awarded 146 medals at the ceremony," added Taneja. The coveted Moinuddin Chishti Gold Medal will be conferred on Rehmana, a student of BA Urdu; Chancellor's and Vice Chancellor's Gold Medals will be awarded to Dharmesh Yadav (BSc Chemistry) and Apoorv Dwivedi (B.Tech Civil Engineering) respectively.
