PRAYAGRAJ, May 4 -- A labourer died on Sunday morning after a heap of soil caved in during sewer pipeline work near Kakraha Ghat in Phaphamau, Prayagraj. The incident occurred while excavation was in progress along the banks of the Yamuna River. According to reports, the labourer was standing at the bottom of an excavation pit when a mound of loose soil suddenly collapsed, burying him underneath. Following the accident, the contractor and the JCB operator allegedly fled the scene with machine. Local residents informed the police. The deceased was identified as Gaya Prasad Pal, a resident of Baharia in Prayagraj, and an investigation is under way.HTC...
