Kishori Summer Camp begins in Nagepur
Varanasi, May 16 -- A Kishori Summer Camp was inaugurated on Friday in Nagepur village, Varanasi, aimed at empowering teenage girls through vocational training and self-defense skills. The camp, organised at the Lok Samiti Ashram, will offer free training in employment-oriented courses, including scooty and e-rickshaw driving, computer skills, spoken English, handicrafts, music, dance and jewellery making.
In addition to vocational training, participants will receive martial arts training for self-defense and crucial information on health, their rights and legal matters.
State Bank of India branch manager Vibhash Mukherjee inaugurated the camp in the presence of Lok Samiti coordinator Nandalal Master. The camp will run daily from 8 am to 2 pm until June 15, after which certificates of participation will be awarded.
