KGMU hosts symposium on special needs dental care
LUCKNOW, Sept. 15 -- King George's Medical University (KGMU), in collaboration with the Down Syndrome Federation of India, hosted the 1st National Interprofessional Health Care Symposium on Sunday at the Kalam Center, KGMU, focusing on 'Collaborative Care: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Special Needs Dental Patients'.
According to a press release shared with the media, the event brought together experts, practitioners, academicians, and students from various healthcare disciplines, all united by the common goal of improving care for patients with special needs.
Eminent keynote speakers, Dr M Pradeep Kumar and Dr Nidhi Gupta from Down Syndrome Federation of India shared their knowledge and expertise. A multidisciplinary session was conducted in which various experts from different fields such as Dr Vivek K Hains (Periodontology), Dr AK Gupta (Physical and Medical Rehabilitation), Dr Pawan Gupta (Psychiatry) and nursing officer Anjali.
The symposium was conducted in a hybrid mode, with over 100 participants attending onsite and 170 joining online from across India and SAARC countries, including Nepal and Sri Lanka....
