KANPUR, Aug. 31 -- An NRI couple from Kanpur and the husband's sister, all US citizens residing in New Jersey, have been missing since August 25 after losing contact with their family while travelling to Kailash Mansarovar. The family is particularly concerned as contact with the three was lost amid flash floods in Nepal. They were last known to be near the Tibet border. Ragini Mishra, a native of P Road in Sisamau, her husband Pankaj Mishra, originally from Shyam Nagar, and Poonam Mishra, wife of Pankaj's younger brother, arrived in Kathmandu from the US on August 18. They later joined a 31-member tourist group travelling to Kailash Mansarovar. Ragini's brother, Pankaj Dwivedi, who runs a travel agency, said he spoke to her over a WhatsApp call on the evening of August 25. She told him they were near the Tibet border. There has been no contact with the three since then. According to Dwivedi, Pankaj Mishra holds a senior position at a software company in the US. The family appealed to the administration and elected representatives to coordinate with the Nepalese and Tibetan authorities to trace the three travellers. Since they are US citizens, their family in New Jersey is also coordinating with the US government on the matter. Their relatives in Kanpur, however, said they would approach the relevant officials on Monday on their own, hoping they could provide assistance or help ascertain the couple's whereabouts and safety....
