PRAYAGRAJ, Nov. 3 -- Superintendent of police, Pratapgarh, Deepak Bhukar, has suspended the SHO of Kandhai police station following the arrest of an accused despite a stay order from the Supreme Court. Inspector Anil Kumar of Patti Kotwali has been deputed in his place. According to reports, a person residing in the Kandhai police station area had filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding the case. He alleged that despite the Supreme Court's stay, the police arrested him and presented him in the district court, where he was later released. Following the Supreme Court order, ADG (Prayagraj) investigated the matter and found negligence on the part of Kandhai SHO Gulabchand Sonkar, SI Rajesh Kumar, and Mithlesh Chaurasia. The case is scheduled to be heard on November 7. Prior to the hearing, SP Deepak Bhukar suspended Gulabchand Sonkar and appointed Inspector Anil Kumar of Patti Kotwali in his place. Meanwhile, in a separate case involving online transfer of bribe money into the accounts of policemen and their family members, SI Banwarilal Pal, posted at Hathigawan police station, Pratapgarh, was sent to line by SP Deepak Bhukar. Recently, Banwarilal allegedly received Rs 80,000 online from a person involved in a case. A woman riding a bike with her son to pick amla (Indian gooseberry) was crushed to death by a truck, while her son narrowly escaped the accident. The truck driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. According to reports, Kismatul, 50, wife of late Mohammad Mustaqeem, a resident of Kiratpur under Kandhai police station area in Pratapgarh, was traveling on a bike with her son, Mohammad Salman, on Sunday morning. Near Bharthipur village on the Rakha-Kandhai road, the bike skidded in front of a truck heading to Asalpur, and Kismatul was crushed under the truck and died on the spot....
