Jal Shakti secy at IIT-BHU reviews clean rivers lab
VARANASI, April 25 -- VL Kantha Rao, secretary of ministry of Jal Shakti (department of water resources, river development & Ganga rejuvenation), government of India, visited the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) on Friday to review ongoing initiatives related to river rejuvenation and water management.
During his visit, Rao inspected the Smart Laboratory on Clean Rivers, a key centre for innovation and applied research in sustainable river management.
He was presented with advanced research and technological interventions aimed at improving river water quality and monitoring systems.
The secretary was accompanied by key experts, including Prof SB Dwivedi, Prof Anurag Ohri, Prof Shishir Gaur, Prof Harsimran Kaur, Prof Medha Jha, Dr Pramod Soni, Dr Anshuman Satpathy, and Rahul Singh from the department of civil engineering, and Prof Shreyans Kumar Jain from the department of pharmaceutical engineering & technology....
