It's fabricated: Nripendra Misra
Ayodhya, Aug. 22 -- Ram temple construction committee chairman Nripendra Misra on Friday dismissed as "fabricated" what was initially described as a letter from former Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai, which went viral on social media. Instead of a letter, it is Rai's document for an upcoming booklet.
Accusing journalists, Misra said, "You people are presenting this before me only to create controversy."
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Misra further said, "Which letter? I have not seen any such letter. Until I see the letter, I will only say that this is merely fabricated. There would not be any such criticism in a nine-page letter."
"Perhaps there is no such letter or such criticism. These are only your fabricated things. You want to create a controversy everywhere and are presenting this before me only to create controversy," Misra said.
Meanwhile, Misra gave an update on the progress of Ram temple construction work on the second day of the construction committee's meeting.
He said that the construction of the temple is the fulfilment of the dreams of crores of devotees.
"Of the about 70 construction works that were decided, about 60 have been completed. The completed construction works have been handed over to the Ram temple trust, and now the trust will handle maintenance," he said.
He added that work will be done to connect the sewage and drainage system to the main drain to solve the problem of waterlogging on the premises during rains.
Misra said special focus is now on construction of the museum, auditorium and trust office. About Rs 5 crore will be spent on Gallery No. 7 of the museum, he said.
"Whether an entry fee will be charged there or not will be decided by the trust," he said....
