Lucknow, May 23 -- The Islamic Centre of India has issued an advisory highlighting the significance of the month of Zil Hijjah and outlining guidelines for Qurbani during Eid ul Adha. Addressing worshippers after Friday prayers at Farangi Mahali mosque, Chairman Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali said Qurbani is an important act of devotion symbolising sacrifice and submission to Allah. The advisory said Qurbani should be performed during the three designated days of Eid ul Adha, May 28, 29 and 30. It urged people to use healthy animals purchased from authorised sources and ensure sacrifices are carried out cleanly and at proper locations. The Centre also advised against photography or sharing videos of Qurbani on social media and appealed to people to maintain communal harmony during the festival.HTC...
