India, Sept. 19 -- T he iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max went on sale across India at 8am on Friday, bringing with them the now-familiar launch-day scenes: pre-dawn queues, interstate travel and buyers determined to be among the first to walk out with Apple's latest phones. Crowds were reported outside stores in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru, with some customers turning up the previous night. Mumbai got some star power too, with actor Vicky Kaushal joining buyers at Apple BKC and picking up an iPhone 18 Pro Max. One customer there had travelled from Nashik and said he had been in the queue since 10pm the previous night. The launch-day enthusiasm crossed state lines as well. Buyers travelled from Punjab and other cities to collect pre-booked devices, while one Bengaluru customer described the annual iPhone launch as "like a festival". The iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs.1,64,900, while the Pro Max starts at Rs.1,79,900. The phones are also available online and through authorised retailers, though some Apple online-store deliveries have already slipped into October....
