Instt confers degrees on 279 graduates
LUCKNOW, July 15 -- Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences conferred degrees on 279 graduates through a digital process at its 30th convocation on Tuesday, including super-specialists, doctors, nurses and allied healthcare professionals.
The graduating batch comprised 43 MD/MS, 72 DM/MCh, 48 PDCC, 50 BSc nursing, 30 BSc critical care and medical technology, 15 MSc critical care and medical technology, seven PhD, six PDAF and six master of hospital administration graduates. For the first time, all degrees were uploaded to DigiLocker.
The institute honoured Prof Narayan Prasad, HoD of nephrology, with the Governor's Medal for best teacher, while 11 faculty members and students received awards for academic excellence in teaching, research and innovation.
Speaking on the occasion, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak said no patient should be denied treatment due to a shortage of beds.
