Infant with severe pneumonia revived
LUCKNOW, Oct. 27 -- A four-month-old suffering from severe pneumonia, who was brought to the Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) here with no heartbeat and pulse last week, was treated and revived by a junior resident there, hospital officials said.
The infant was brought to the hospital by his parents Sujeet and Kajal Kashyap around 11.30 pm on October 21.
Looking at his condition, junior resident Dr Neeraj Yadav, who was on duty, treated and revived the boy after more than an hour of effort. No paediatric help was available to him at the time, the officials said.
Later, the infant regained sensation and movement in his body. Around 2:42 am, he was referred to Ram Prakash Gupta Mother and Child State Referral Hospital, near Signature Building, which is a dedicated mother and child care hospital.
Sujeet praised Dr Neeraj for his efforts in reviving the child. Aarav, his son, was now doing well and recovering quickly, he added....
