NEW DELHI, Aug. 22 -- Indian soldiers are acquiring Muay Thai skills during ongoing joint drills in Thailand aimed at boosting interoperability between the two armies, the Indian Army said on Friday. The two-week exercise at Vibhavadi Rangsit Camp in Surat Thani involves 85 personnel each from the Indian and Royal Thai armies and will conclude on August 31. The Indian Army said the training in Muay Thai, known as the "Art of Eight Limbs", improved physical conditioning, agility and close-combat skills while promoting camaraderie.
