Meerut, July 10 -- The Moradabad district administration on Thursday reclaimed 93 hectares of government land from alleged illegal occupation in the Kalyanpur Ehtamali area along the National Highway bypass. Officials alleged that the land had been fraudulently entered in the names of private individuals in connivance with tehsil officials. Following the operation, the administration removed the names of private individuals from the revenue records and restored ownership of the reclaimed land to the state government. District magistrate (DM) Rajendra Pensiya said action will soon be taken to recover the remaining 55 hectares of government land, which is currently under legal proceedings. According to the district administration, nearly 150 hectares of government land in Kalyanpur Ehtamali had been illegally transferred into the names of private individuals through the alleged collusion of revenue officials. After securing entries in the revenue records, the beneficiaries allegedly occupied the vacant government land. The administration launched a special enforcement drive on Thursday, reclaiming 93 hectares of the disputed land. Simultaneously, revenue authorities deleted the names of private individuals from the official land records and reinstated the state government as lawful owner. htc...
