LUCKNOW, July 21 -- The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow has invited applications for engineering faculty members as enrollment in the first four-year undergraduate course - Bachelor of Science in artificial intelligence and business analytics programme - gets off to a start. Until then the institute will seek help and run course with the help of guest faculty from the Indian Institute of Information and Technology, Lucknow. Meanwhile, IIML has received 33 applications so far. They will be asked to make presentations before IIML regular faculty members and experts where they will be assessed. "We are now in the process of recruiting qualified teachers. The institute has received applications from 33 persons. Either all 33 who have applied for teaching work will be asked to make a presentation or we may shortlist a select applicant and our pool of experts would assess them," said prof MP Gupta, director, IIML. When asked about hostel accommodations for 60 B Tech students on campus, Prof Gupta said, "We have identified hostels on campus. Repair work is underway. Painting work is in progress. Students will stay comfortably." The director said that July 20 is the last date for candidates to apply. If all 60 seats do not get filled in the first attempt, the institute will release a second merit list very soon. htc...
