LUCKNOW, March 31 -- In a major reshuffle, the UP government on Monday evening transferred 27 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including police chiefs of 13 districts. Chandra Prakash, inspector general of police, posted at the Training Directorate in state capital, has been made IG, security, in Lucknow. The districts whose superintendents of police (SPs) have been transferred include Shahjahanpur, Etah, Mahoba, Rampur, Kaushambi, Chandauli, Amroha, Mau, Jalaun, Bahraich, Firozabad, Maharajganj and Hamirpur. In addition, the SP (city) and the SP (rural) have also been replaced in several districts. Rajesh Dwivedi, SP, Shahjahanpur, has been transferred as the commandant, 38th battalion PAC, Aligarh. Shyam Narayan Singh, SP, Etah, has been made the commandant, SDRF, Lucknow, while Prabal Pratap Singh, SP, Mahoba, is now SP, DGP headquarters, Lucknow. Vidyasagar Mishra, SP, Rampur, has been made the commandant, 11th battalion PAC, Sitapur, and Rajesh Kumar (II), SP, Kaushambi, is now commandant, 44th battalion PAC, Meerut. Aditya Langeh, SP, Chandauli, has been made the SP of Firozabad. Amit Kumar Anand, SP, Amroha, has been made the deputy commissioner of police, Police Commissionerate, Lucknow, while Elamaran G, SP, Mau, has been appointed the SSP Etah. Durgesh Kumar, SP, Jalaun, is now the commandant, 6th battalion SSF, Ayodhya. Ram Nayan Singh, SP, Bahraich, has been made the commandant, 49th battalion PAC, Gautam Buddh Nagar, while Saurabh Dixit, SP, Firozabad, has been made the SP of Shahjahanpur. Somendra Meena, SP, Maharajganj, has been transferred Rampur in the same position. Diksha Sharma, SP, Hamirpur, has been appointed as the deputy commissioner of police, Police Commissionerate, Lucknow, while Nipun Agarwal has been transferred from DCP, Police Commissionerate, Lucknow to commandant, 9th Battalion PAC, Moradabad. Kamlesh Bahadur has been transferred from commandant, 49th battalion PAC, Gautam Buddh Nagar to SP, Mau, while Vishwajeet Srivastava, DCP, Police Commissionerate, Lucknow, is now SP Bahraich. Lakhan Singh Yadav has been transferred from the post of commandant, 38th battalion PAC, Aligarh to SP of Amroha. Vinay Kumar Singh, who was holding the charge of SP, ATS, Lucknow, has been made the SP of Jalaun, while Shashank Singh has been transferred from the post of DCP, Police Commissionerate, Lucknow to SP, Mahoba. Shakti Mohan Awasthi has been transferred from DCP, Police Commissionerate, Gautam Buddh Nagar to SP, Maharajganj, while Akash Patel has been transferred from the post of ADCP, Police Commissionerate, Varanasi, to SP, Chandauli. Satyanarayan Prajapat, SP, Muzaffarnagar, has been made the SP, Kaushambi while Mrigank Shekhar Pathak, SP, Aligarh, is the new SP of Hamirpur.
