LUCKNOW, Sept. 8 -- Government school children will learn about complicated chapters or concepts via "shorts and reels". Efforts are being made now to create impactful educational short clips that teachers will use as explainers for difficult concepts. The State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET), Lucknow, decided to take the social media route to make classroom teaching fun for Classes 10 to 12 students, an official said. "These days children spend time watching reels and shorts on social media platforms. Here's an opportunity to catch their attention. We decided to produce shorts that will engage students with curriculum-linked educational videos," said Mukhesh Chandra, director, SIET. "For example, photosynthesis can be taught with reels by creating real or animated videos, as can the functioning of pendulum clocks, mathematical calculation concepts, and much more," said Chandra adding that they set a timeframe of September to January for this task.
