Hotel driver turns mastermind, Rs.75l heist solved
LUCKNOW, April 11 -- The Lucknow Police Commissionerate on Friday claimed to have solved a Rs.75 lakh robbery reported in the Vibhutikhand area, arresting 5 accused and recovering Rs.45 lakh in cash along with the vehicle used in the crime. According to police, the FIR was registered on April 5 at Vibhutikhand police station under Section 309(4) of the BNS against two unidentified persons. The complaint was filed by Nikul Singh Jadeja, a resident of Gujarat who alleged that two men in an SUV pushed him and fled with a bag containing cash.
Senior officers reached the spot and formed multiple teams CCTV footage was analysed to trace the accused. On Friday, police arrested Atul Kumar Rawat, Vishal Singh, Rahul Yadav, Akash Yadav and Amit Kumar Gupta near Lucknow Public College, recovering Rs.45 lakh and a black SUV. Probe found Rahul Yadav, a hotel driver who regularly collected business cash, allegedly shared details of the cash movement with cousin Akash Yadav. As the complainant stepped out of a hotel with the cash bag, the Scorpio-borne accused pushed him and fled.
