Lucknow, May 20 -- Police solved a highway robbery on the Lucknow-Rae Bareli route within 24 hours after analysing footage from over 200 CCTV cameras and tracing the suspects' movements, officials said on Tuesday. Nigohan police arrested Hariom Tiwari, 22, a painter from Rae Bareli, while two alleged accomplices, Lavkush Yadav and Pankaj Tiwari, are absconding. Police said warehouse staff Ajit Singh was returning home on May 17 when three men on a Honda Livo stopped him near Lalpur village around 3.20am, and fled with his bike, mobile phone and Rs.500. Additional DCP South Vasanth Rallapalli said investigators tracked the accused by piecing together CCTV footage.
