Headmaster held for sexually assaulting 11-yr-old; proposed nikah
Agra, Aug. 31 -- The headmaster of a junior school in Aligarh's Godha area was arrested and booked under serious charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted one of his 11-year-old students, police said.
The girl's parents said the headmaster, Shakeel Ahmed, used to misbehave with their daughter, make indecent physical advances towards her and even intimidate her by threatening to fail her in exams if she complained against him.
According to the FIR (a copy of which is with Hindustan Times), Ahmed even asked the girl, who's a Class 7 student, to perform 'nikah' with him.
The matter was reported to the Aligarh senior superintendent of police (SSP), after which the FIR (first information report) was filed and the headmaster arrested.
Atrauli circle officer Rajeev Kumar Duwedi, under whose jurisdiction the school falls, section 65(2) (punishment of rape), 74 (assault to outrage modesty of woman), 198 (public servant disobeying law), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act on Friday....
