HC to hear pleaagainst Rahul on July 20
LUCKNOW, May 13 -- The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court on Tuesday heard in-chamber a petition filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in connection with his alleged disproportionate assets. The court scheduled the next hearing for July 20. A division bench of Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Justice Zafeer Ahmad heard the case. However, the court order is yet to be uploaded.
A criminal petition has sought a detailed investigation and registration of a regular case by the CBI against Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, in a case of alleged disproportionate assets to his known sources of income. The petition has been filed by S Vignesh Shishir, a BJP worker from Karnataka. The petitioner has made the CBI director, ED, the income tax department, the home ministry and the Serious Fraud Investigation Office as respondents in the petition. htc...
