LUCKNOW, March 27 -- The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court has directed to list the case of alleged construction by the Lucknow Development Authority on land belonging to La Martiniere College on April 7. In the meantime, the counsel for the parties may file applications/ affidavits, as requested by them, the court directed. The order was passed by a division bench of justices Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Zafeer Ahmad on March 25 on a petition filed by the college through its principal. Earlier, the court had stayed further construction by the LDA till March 16 and directed the DM to appear on March 16 again. "The district magistrate, who is present in person, need not appear again. The outcome of the meeting dated 18th March, 2026 shall be apprised to the Court on the next date and any affidavit may be filed to that effect," the court ordered on March 16. MANOJ KUMAR SINGH...
