PRAYAGRAJ, March 13 -- The Allahabad high court will continue hearing the bail applications of Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan and others accused in the September 2025 Bareilly violence case on Friday. Justice Ashutosh Srivastava is hearing the bail pleas of Tauqeer Raza and several co-accused. Raza has been in jail since October 13, 2025. According to the police case, on September 26, Raza allegedly gave a call for members of a particular community to assemble at Islamia Inter College in Bareilly. Despite prohibitory orders under section 163 BNSS being in force, a crowd of about 500 gathered and proceeded from Maulana Azad Inter College towards Shyamganj Chauraha, holding boards and raising provocative slogans. As per the FIR, the crowd allegedly hurled brickbats, stones and acid bottles at police personnel and also fired gunshots at them.
