HC fixes May 15 for next hearing in Mathura temple-mosque dispute
India, April 11 -- PRAYAGRAJ: The Allahabad High Court on Friday fixed May 15 as the next date for the hearing in the Krishna Janmbhumi-Shahi Eidgah mosque dispute case at Mathura.
On Friday, the high court heard the Amendment application moved by the Muslim side in its written statements.
Justice Avnish Saxena passed the order. It may be recalled that the Hindu side has filed 18 suits for possession of land after removal of structure of Shahi Idgah masjid as well as for restoration of temple and for permanent injunction.
The controversy relates to the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb-era Shahi Eidgah mosque at Mathura, which is alleged to have been built after demolishing a temple at the birthplace of Lord Krishna....
