LUCKNOW, May 15 -- The construction work for Gyanshila University, which will be operated by the Neeru Memorial Society, began on Thursday following a foundation stone laying ceremony. The university will primarily focus on education in sports, music, art and literature. Pushpalata Agarwal, president Neeru Memorial Society and Founder of St Joseph's Group of Schools, along with her son Anil Agarwal, laid the foundation of the University. The University is being set up in memory of Neeru. Envisioned as a world-class sports university, it will offer sports education, vocational courses and skill development programmes, with a focus on preparing athletes for the 2036 Olympic Games. Chairman and chancellor of Gyanshila University Anil Agarwal said that his primary goal is to see India excel in the Olympics, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, with students from Gyanshila winning at least 10 gold medals for the country and bringing global recognition to India....
