LUCKNOW, Oct. 28 -- The weather took a U-turn on Monday as parts of the state, as also of the state capital, experienced unseasonal rainfall. This was due to the influence of active weather systems in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. There is a possibility of a sharp fall in temperature of 5 to 8 degrees in the maximum temperature at many places on Monday and Tuesday, the weatherman said. Thereafter, there will be an increase of 3 to 5 degrees in the next 48 hours and then again a drop of 2 to 3 degrees in the next 24 hours. However, there is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature for the next 4 to 5 days, said Mohd Danish, a senior scientist at Lucknow Met office. For instance, Lucknow day temperature dropped from 33.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday to 28 degrees on Monday; it dropped by 5.6 degrees in 24 hours. The minimum temperature was 23.2 degrees which was six degrees above normal. The forecast for the state capital for Tuesday is overcast sky becoming generally cloudy towards evening/night with possibility of light rain/drizzle....
