Jaipur, Sept. 1 -- Former CM Ashok Gehlot on Sunday expressed concern over the impact of US tariffs on various products and sectors, and warned that the move could hit exports and livelihoods. Gehlot said that exporters, especially handicraft traders in Jaipur, Jodhpur and other parts of Rajasthan, are deeply worried about the possibility of a decline in exports. "It is important that both the Centre and the state act in tandem to safeguard trade and protect the livelihoods of thousands of artisans who form the backbone of Rajasthan's handicraft industry," he added. Reacting to Gehlot's remarks, BJP spokesperson Laxmikant Bharadwaj said: "Under the leadership of PM Modi, India is fully capable of dealing with any situation. The former CM need not be worried about the matter."htc...
