VARANASI, Aug. 18 -- The daily Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat has been shifted to the rooftop of a building as the rising water level of the Ganga has flooded the Aarti platform and reduced the available space at the ghat. The Aarti, organised by the Ganga Seva Nidhi, is now being conducted on the rooftop of its office building overlooking the ghat. Ganga Seva Nidhi president Sushant Mishra said, "Like every year, the water level of Maa Ganga has risen significantly. Considering safety concerns, the available space on the ghat became extremely limited and was insufficient for the large crowds gathering there. Therefore, it was decided to conduct the Maa Ganga Aarti on the rooftop of the Ganga Seva Nidhi office," Mishra said....
