LUCKNOW, Aug. 20 -- What if Lucknow's streets, heritage buildings and everyday life could be photographed from a moving frame? On World Photography Day, the Lucknow Metro offered photographers exactly that opportunity, turning a train journey into a moving photo-walk across the city. Organised by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC), the first-of-its-kind photo-walk saw photographers travel across the entire metro corridor, using the train windows to capture fleeting views of Lucknow. From old neighbourhoods and heritage structures to roads, commuters and the city's expanding urban landscape, the photographers captured Lucknow from a perspective rarely available at street level. The event began with an exhibition at Hazratganj Metro Station featuring photographs by 20 professional photographers. The exhibition will remain open for two days for passengers and visitors. UPMRC managing director Sushil Kumar said photography offered a distinctive way of discovering a city, with the initiative bringing together Lucknow's heritage, everyday life and modern metro journey....
