Lucknow, May 14 -- Four people were injured, one of them critically, after an uncontrolled dumper truck rammed into multiple vehicles near Chandradhal in the Madiaon area of Lucknow on Wednesday morning, police said. According to the official statement issued by Lucknow Police, the accident took place around 7.10 am when the dumper bearing registration number UP78JT3673 lost control and crashed into several vehicles on the service lane near the flyover. Police said local teams rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the crash. The dumper was later found mounted on a divider, while its driver had fled the scene. "The injured were identified as Nidhi Singh, 28, a resident of Vibhuti Khand-4 in Gomti Nagar; Abhay Kumar Singh, 22, from Kushinagar district; Ashu Gautam, 26, a resident of Bharat Nagar in Madiaon; and Pankaj, whose complete details were still being verified," stated the official statement by police. Police said Pankaj was taken away by his family members, while the remaining injured were shifted by ambulance to Jankipuram Trauma Centre and KGMU Trauma Centre for treatment.
