AGRA, June 5 -- A six-month-old infant died under suspicious circumstances during an altercation between his mother and maternal aunt at a house in Firozabad city on Thursday. Police have registered a case based on the mother's complaint and taken the accused aunt into custody for questioning, according to the deputy superintendent of police (City) Ravi Shankar Prasad. DSP Prasad said on Thursday that Uttar police station in Firozabad received information on Wednesday night about the death of an infant under suspicious circumstances. "Sanjana, the mother of the deceased child, stated that she was involved in an altercation with her sister over a dispute when both of them accidentally fell onto the infant, who was lying on a nearby bed. The injured child was rushed to a trauma center, where doctors declared him dead," said DSP Prasad. "An FIR is being registered on the basis of the complaint filed by the mother of the deceased child. The woman's sister has been taken into custody for questioning, and all aspects of the case are being investigated. Further action will be taken in accordance with the law," he said....
