LUCKNOW, May 7 -- Police registered an FIR regarding a road rage incident on Shaheed Path where two youths in a sedan allegedly assaulted a car driver, dragging him out of his vehicle and brutally beating him in full public view. The FIR was lodged on Tuesday; the incident occurred late Monday night near Lakshya Plaza, on Shaheed Path. A video of the incident, recorded by bystanders, surfaced, showing no one intervening to stop the assault. According to eyewitnesses, the accused first overtook the victim's car and forced it to stop. They then opened the car door, grabbed the driver by his collar and pulled him onto the road. The victim was beaten and dragged as he pleaded with folded hands to be spared.
