Lucknow, June 26 -- Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad on Thursday dismissed the FIR registered in connection with alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram temple as "meaningless" and claimed it was a deliberate attempt to protect influential individuals involved in the controversy. Speaking to HT, the Faizabad MP said the case registered on the complaint of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust conveniently omitted senior functionaries responsible for overseeing donation handling."This FIR has no meaning.
