Agra, April 16 -- A father, his son, and a third accomplice were sentenced to life imprisonment by the court of additional sessions judge (Court No. 17) in Agra for a murder that took place on January 12, 2020. The case was registered at Khandauli police station under section 302/34 of the IPC against the three accused for killing a 20-year-old man whose vehicle had driven over a water supply pipe belonging to the accused. Nitin Kumar Thakur, the presiding officer at the court of additional sessions judge (Court No. 17) in Agra, sentenced Praveen Parmar and his father Rakesh, both residents of Garhi Maharaj village, along with Luvkush from Narhara village (all under Khandauli police station), to life imprisonment in session trial No 2242 of 2020. The court's order, issued on April 13, also imposed a penalty of Rs.1 lakh on each of the accused, with the total amount to be paid to Brijendra Singh, the father of the deceased, as compensation. The FIR was lodged by Devkinandan, the cousin of the deceased Amit. He stated that he, along with his cousins Amit and Ajay, was traveling to Sadabad town in Hathras on January 12, 2020. Upon reaching Garhi Maharaj, a water supply pipe (lezium) used for pumping water was lying on the road. The accused Rakesh, Luvkush and Praveen began to abuse the complainant and his cousins for driving over the water pipe. When the complainant forbade the accused from using abuses, Rakesh and Luvkush held Amit while Praveen shot him. After Amit died, all three convicts fled the scene....
