PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 3 -- Uttar Pradesh minister of state for animal husbandry and dairy development Krishna Paswan on Wednesday met the families of those who lost their lives in the recent firecracker explosion and handed over financial assistance cheques. She assured the bereaved families that the state government would provide all possible support during this difficult time.According to officials, cheques totaling Rs 40 lakh were distributed among the families of the deceased, while household utensils were also provided as relief assistance. Meanwhile, police registered a case of attempt to murder against factory owner Naushad Ali for allegedly opening fire at a police team during an encounter. The FIR was lodged by Charwa SHO Vinay Kumar Singh, who alleged that Ali fired at police personnel when they moved to arrest him. One bullet, he claimed, narrowly missed him. Police said Ali fired two rounds after being surrounded. In retaliatory firing, he sustained a bullet injury to his leg and was arrested. "One bullet passed close to my temple.
