F.I.R against 5 for 'pressuring' man to convert: COps
Haldwani, June 26 -- Police in Pithoragarh district have registered an FIR against five persons, including a woman, on charges of allegedly pressuring a man to convert to Islam, assaulting him and issuing death threats after he refused to do so, officials said on Thursday.
According to the police, the complainant, Vivek Singh (33), a resident of Bokta village in the Chaunala area of Gangolihat, alleged that he was lured into a relationship by a woman identified as Yasmin, a resident of Brijpuri in New Delhi. The complainant alleged that Yasmin gained his trust by claiming to follow Hindu customs and that her family was supportive initially....
