PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 29 -- Former Zila Panchayat member Randhir Yadav, missing for six days, was murdered and his body dumped on a railway track in Puramufti area. Police on Thursday disclosed the crime and arrested two accused, including a woman, while search is on for three others.Police said the murder was linked to Yadav's alleged illicit relations with the wife of his friend Uday Yadav. Uday, along with his brother, nephew, mother-in-law, and another associate, killed Randhir and disposed of the body. DCP (Trans Ganga) Kuldeep Singh Gunawat said Randhir, 40, a resident of Hattigaha Mohammadpur under Nawabganj police station, went missing on August 22. His wife, Zila Panchayat member Babli Yadav, lodged a missing complaint the next day. On August 25, a named FIR was filed against Ram Singh Yadav and Uday Yadav, accusing them of kidnapping. The same day, Randhir's Scorpio was found abandoned in Chitrakoot.
