Imphal, April 19 -- One ex-serviceman of the Naga regiment of the Indian Army was killed, and several others were injured during a reported ambush on 4 vehicles by suspected Kuki militants on Saturday near a village in Manipur's Ukhrul district, a day after chief minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh's visit to the district. Police said the deceased was identified as SW Chinaoshang. The incident occurred at around 2.30 pm near Litan village, said police. Around 4 vehicles coming from Imphal towards Ukhrul were allegedly attacked, they said, adding that two others were critically injured.
