Ex-ambulance drivers protest, seek job
LUCKNOW, Oct. 4 -- Dozens of former outsourced ambulance drivers from across the state staged a protest outside deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak's residence in Lucknow on Saturday, seeking re-employment and government intervention. The protesters said they planned to return medals and certificates they received for their services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Later, police took them to Eco Garden.
They said they demonstrated near the Mahatma Gandhi statue on Friday, claiming that later they were assured that a meeting with deputy CM Brajesh Pathak would be arranged on Saturday. htc...
