Evaluation of HS, Inter exam answer sheets from March 18
PRAYAGRAJ, March 6 -- The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) is preparing to begin the evaluation of High School and Intermediate examination-2026 answersheets from March 18.
While the proposal has been sent to the state government for approval, the board has already started making necessary arrangements for the evaluation process.
According to officials, 249 evaluation centres have been set up across the state. Nearly 27.5 million (around 2.75 crore) answersheets of about 5 million students who appeared in the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations will be checked at these centres, officials added.
More than 15 million answersheets belong to High School (Class 10) students, while approximately 11.7 million answersheets are of Intermediate (Class 12) candidates. To complete the task, around 1.40 lakh examiners will be deployed across the evaluation centres.
The evaluation work will be conducted under strict CCTV surveillance, and like the high school and intermediate examinations, entry of any outsider into the evaluation centres will be strictly prohibited.
Examiners will also not be allowed to carry mobile phones or any electronic devices inside the centres.
The UP Board examinations began on February 18 and are scheduled to conclude on March 12. This year, 2,761,696 students registered for the High School examination, while 2,576,082 candidates registered for the Intermediate examination.
