Haridwar, Aug. 12 -- A 42-year-old woman had died after being grievously injured in an elephant attack in Badasi Grant village under the Thano forest range on Monday evening, forest department officials said. The deceased, Anjali Gupta (42), was going to her family-run restaurant on the Raipur-Jolly Grant Airport road when the elephant attacked her around 7.15 pm, leaving her with multiple serious injuries. According to forest officials, Gupta was rushed to a private hospital in Dehradun after the attack, where she succumbed to her injuries around on Monday. Forest officials said a patrolling and search operation has been launched in the area to trace the elephant and drive it back into the forest. htc...
