Pithoragarh, July 23 -- A 63-year-old Kailash Mansarovar pilgrim from Rajasthan died of cardiac arrest at Lipulekh Pass in Pithoragarh district on Wednesday while returning to Indian territory from Tibet, officials said. Dharchula SDM Ashish Joshi identified the pilgrim as Gauri Shankar Khandelwal. He added that Khandelwal was declared dead by Army doctors at the Army medical inspection room (MI room) at Lipulekh Pass. "The body of the pilgrim has been sent to Pithoragarh by a state helicopter," Joshi said.
